Last night around 11PM I heard a bang on the conservatory door (which was open) in came the largest creature I have ever seen! Guess who made a Beeline for it, scooped it up in her mouth and ran into the room with the bloody thing!

Took me 5 minutes to get it back off of her still alive and the size of a fig biscuit!!!

Turns out it is a cockchafer beetle, common around crops this time of year and thankfully harmless to us animals! Then found her with another one outside 5 minutes later and that was as big as well!
